TEAM SNIPER MATCH LAYOUT (edmonton area)

The easiest way from QE2 that I know would be come north on QE2/Calgary Trail to Anthony Henday west. Follow to Hwy 16 (Yellowhead Trail) and go west. Turn left (south) at Hwy 770. Go for aprox 26 km until you cross the river. Turn right off 770 at the first road (unpaved) on your right, then immediately turn left. Follow the signs from there.

There's probably a "back way" that's faster than going all the way up to Hwy 16. As a matter of fact, I know there is. Take the road that runs west past the Walmart plaza in Leduc. Follow that to secondary hwy 770 (I think it runs right to it without any turns) and go north on 770. From there I can't give you better directions. I've only been that way once or twice and that was over a year ago. If you're going north on 770 and you cross the river, turn around and take the first road on the west side of the hwy on the south side of the river.

Spectators must be willing to run (not walk) out the the 700m mark and reset targets for us:p Just kidding :D

Thanks for that....I'm east of Edmonton so I'll just truck through on the yellowhead then.
 
If any one is coming north on the QE2.. You can turn west @ Leduc on to Hiway 39.. that will take you to hiway 770 head north from there.. i believe there are signs to the range.. but if you get to the river turn around..

OK SHOOTERS
i will need everyone at the range on saturday at no later than 8am sharp. i will have a little meeting with the shooters at that time. if u want to go down range and check out the targets and how they work u can do so but u must be back at the firing line by 8am and after that no one will be allowed down range. so get there EARLY. the first round shooters will start shooting no later than 8:30am. we will draw tags to see what order the teams will go in. I STILL HAVENT RECIVED EVERYONES TEAM NAME SO PM ME AND LET ME KNOW. this will be a full day shoot im hoping to have everything wraped up by 6pm saturday night but depending on how things go it could end earlier or could run late so be prepared for a full day. spectators are welcome but will have to pay a 3$ insurance fee if they are not a member of the range also any shooters that are not members will have to pay a extra 3$ insurance fee.THE GENNESSE RANGE (LONG RANGE PART) WILL BE CLOSED ON FRIDAY MAY 2/08 AT 3PM SO I CAN SET UP ALL THE TARGETS AND WILL REMAIN CLOSED UNTIL THE FOLLOWING MORNING. if there are any other questions from the shooters please pm me and ill get back to u asap. thanx

actually i went down saturday night to drop some stuff off and the road was good but it has been raining here allday today. im heading out tommorrow night to drop some stuff off so ill let u know what i find out. im still planning on pulling my trailer out there and yes if u dress up like spiderman and rick dresses up like superman u will get an extra 10 pts.

I heard a rumour LRC and partner are dressing up in drag. I guess they want all the points the can possibly get. HeHe

im going to teach u saskachewan sheep f*ckers a harsh lesson on how we role here in alberta. ( i was wondering how long it would take for teams to start trash talking) good to see. and i will be dressed up like MR T so no one else better be wearing the same costume. and all the saskachewan guy dont take my above comment too seriously.
 
Damn it Mutt I just cut my mohawk before I read the post and I didn't know there was sheep f**king going on...Should I bring the chimps? they're natural sheep wranglers. After all the gents from the east might need help catching their prey.

By the way, Shawn and I are going to shoot blindfolded, that way even Mutt might stand a chance.:evil:
 
Maybe once everyone gets out to the match, we can all vote fabourably on cutting the allowed time to engage targets in half. Maybe all of these seasoned shooters won't have a problem taking out 15 targets in 8 or even 5 minutes. We could have this whole shoot done by lunch. What do ya say???
