Like almost everyone else, I'm disappointed, but this thing would be an interesting alternative to the likes of the CZ 527 7.62x39 bolt action rifle, if the price was right.

Because what is the point of building a bolt action gun that looks like an AK.

Seriously, tons of semi-auto actions could have been made to fit an AK look a like.

Still better than a dewat. I'll save for the Valmet project though. Especially at a 1000 bucks for a bolt gun limited to 5 rounds because it takes mags designed for a semi auto.
 
Urban Tactical's FB page says that the action is based on the Schmidt Ruben 1889. I'm not sure how that can be but without examining it I can't really call BS.

I don't know, short sight radius, no ready means of adding an optic - I can't see a use for this in MY collection. Well, unless is really dirt cheap and / or it comes with affordable proprietary mags that can be full capacity instead of pinned to 5. Maybe I might be interested. One of those - I have it just to have it rifles. YMMV.
 
Put some cherry wood on it and hang it on the wall.

16" barrel, non-restricted and will drive FUDDs and antis nuts.......good enough for me.
 
Really disapointed... The fact they said it worked identical to an ak really made me think it was a tantal, a semi auto tantal. I think the price should be around 200 for this abomination since an sks can probably out shoot it.

Yep! with the possibility of making ourselves krinkov too (with a pinned stock of course) plus who knows maybe trigger has been in contact with a magazine manufacturer to make "proprietary" 30/40/drum magazines for these rifles, we just don't have enough details yet. But I'm still in for one!

nobody ever said it WORKED identical to an AK. its been said it LOOKED exactly the same. We are all disappointed, but no need to make stuff up on what was stated prior.

Yes actually urban tactical was quoted in the very first post saying it was identical to an ak inside and out of course they were told misinformation wich was passed onto us. It was originally posted by fast ford58
