Yup. Steel tech sight is toast. The aperture busted right off of the body while at the range this evening. No abuse, never dropped it, nothing. 1 year warranty is expired so it's a wash. The metal had all kinds of porosity in it at the break. What a bummer.

Time for a rail and red dot I reckon.

Sorry you lost the use of your tech sight.

If you like a peep sight you might want to check out our Raveneye peep sight for the SKS.

Of course, we sell a pretty good rail for the SKS too ...

We have been a big fan of the True shot SKS scope mount, it has an adjustable rear peep sight built in and you can still use stripper clips, best of all worlds! Have a look, HERE.

You should send Tech a polite email expressing your disappointment and include a few pictures and see if they will help you out regardless of the warranty period.

Yeah, I really like having the aperture close to my eye. It tightens the "F-Stop" to sharpen my view of both the front post and target.

On my marlin 336 or 795 definitely. The sks has such a short LOP that tech sights don't point naturally for me - I prefer the raveneye to the point that I've removed the twoTechs I had in favour of them.

JV : If they're still around I'll send a PM and they're all yours for the cost of shipping.

- Cheers
