Tech Sights

My tasco red dot works fine, for what I ask of it. I can hit milk jugs out as far as 150. You give up a bit in accuracy with the 5 MOA dot though. I can typically put a whole 25 rounder into 3 inches at 25 yards though. If precision target shooting is what you want, get something else, but just for busting up plastic bottle and jugs, it'll do it.
 
If it refuses to hold zero on a 22lr that really isn't good. What brand is it?

The people who have the tech sights all seem to praise them, personally I'm thinking about getting a set of them OR maybe a good red dot sight. Like a bushnell trophy MP. I think that's the name of it.
 
Tech-Sights; great value.

I've had Tech-Sights on my 10/22 for as long as I've owned the rifle (which is only about 6 months or so) and I absolutely LOVE shooting with them. I really like the fact they give you a military-style peep sight image similar to an M14. The sights are more than accurate enough for my needs; perfect for plinking and then some.

The Tech-Sights look really sharp on the gun; I've got the regular wood/blued version and my set-up looks kind of like an M1 carbine.

My only caution would be to make sure you are using really good thread lock when installing the front sight especially; mine came loose at first, but has stayed put ever since re-mounting. Worst case scenario would be to JB weld it on, but even then it would be well worth it.

I found ordering was simple and the guy whom I spoke with was very helpful and polite. Over all, great price for an awesome alternative to the red-dots most have tried. Sorry, no pics on here at this time.

Its a great little sight, with a single fastening screw. I thought it wouldn't hold zero, but boy does it. I can take it on and off and it still holds its zero very, very well. Dunno how well it will work on something larger than .22 cal though.

Its a steal at 59$.

Its an ACOG style scope with a P4 reticule and a 3x-9x magnification. Has a slick picatinny rail attachment lever. Illuminated reticule. Its held its zero well, although something isn't right with my BDC on it. If I can't fix it myself easily, I'll get John to replace it.

How long have you been using this one?
 
I've had it a couple of months. Its probably seen 1000 rounds now. Maybe a touch more. Took me forever to get it to zero because my nordic doesn't have iron sites to co-wittness, but once I did its held zero perfectly ever since. 5.5" groups at 50 yds with ease in rapid fire. I've had it on and off about a half dozen times since. It holds it pretty well.

I don't know how well it would hold on something with more recoil, but its great on my .22.

Ok I finally got around to taking a couple pictures of my Tech-Sights; unfortunatly they are terrible due to my crap Nikon, so I've only put one up here.

The only thing that kind of looks goofy is the folded down factory rear iron sight. This will soon be covered by a barrel shroud; that should help the rifle's over-all M1 carbine-ish appearance.
