What I would probably do is have the sight shipped to them in the US,pick it up and declare it at the border when I return-wouldn't that satisfy the legal issue? If I recall correctly-you aren't even stopped at the US side when you re enter Canada, you go through Canadian Customs
what I would like is a firesight for the front sight-I have that combination on another rifle I couldn't shoot before-but a ghost ring and a fiberoptic front sight work for me
I wanted the TS-200 but it was hard to get it shipped here. I ended up with the williams aperture sight and I like it just fine. The peep hole could be smaller but It's unscrewable so I imagine williams makes different diameters haven't looked yet.
sorry to go OT ... but I decided that I would mate a fibre optic rear leaf site with my williams firesight front post. I sent my rear sight to Niet Arms. Dave at Niet said they can fit it with fibre optics like the ones that they make for the VZ/CZ 858.
But if they ever change their mind about shipping north ... I'm game for a TS200 for sure!
I too was told by Tech-Sights that they will not ship internationally anymore. I then emailed sksman.com asking if he has the TS-200 and would he ship to Canada. He does and he will. I phoned him yesterday and placed an order. He sells the TS-200 for $59.99 and $10.00 for shipping to Canada. I'll post again when I receive it to let everyone know if there were any problems or not.
I just wanted to update everyone. I just received the Tech-sight TS200 today in the mail from SKSMAN.com. It came across the border no problems. Email him he'll give you his phone # to place the order, it was $59.00 for the sight and $10 shipping.
And I must add that you should also buy their TS200 sight tool as well. Fortunately. I ordered my TS200 for my SKS last year before they stopped exporting. The sight tool is really needed and unless you can make one like I did. See my earliet posting at:
