I have a Forster Bullet seating die (not with the micrometer). I find that the upper section is quite loose and turns to easily. I was thinking of wrapping the threads with a bit of teflon tape to tighten it up a bit. Will that cause any problems in how it operates?

Well - I wrapped some around the upper set of threads - and it has tightened the upper part of the die. Now I will have to do some bullet seating to see if this throws concentricity off

Instructions
1. Ensure the die body (L-30) is securely threaded to the sleeve (O-30)

This means you tighten the upper part of the die with the bottom of the die until it bottoms out and it will not turn further. If it still moves when you tighten it down you either assembled it incorrectly or it "might" be a defective die.

The die chamber (P-30) holds the cartridge case and aligns and guides the seating stem and both float inside the sleeve (O-30) so you might be chasing your tail.

I have two of these Forster dies and the upper section does not move when tightened so check how you reassembled the die.
