Tell me about .22 Short ammo

My 4 5/8" Single Six surprised the heck out of me how load it was the first time I popped off a cylinder fulla of CCI shorts.

You think that is loud try the other cyl full of 22 Mag

i use the CCI CB .22 shorts in my Cooey for hunting grouse. plenty quiet. i buy them in 100 round sleeves. i recently picked up 500 rounds (5 sleeves) at 8.79 a sleeve. the guy at the shop said prices ere going up, so i grabbed the last of the shorts they had. haven't bought any since, so i'm not sure where they're at now. probably close to 10 bucks a sleeve.

I have many times and of course it's loud (& that cool blue halo) We're talking about .22 shorts though.

I used to shoot shorts out of my Browning BL-22 lever all the time--Great fun!

I think it held about 22 or more rounds in the tube!
