Hey guys. I'm up for a ten year service award at work and they sent me a catalog of gifts to choose from. There is a lot of "crap". Paintings and watches I'm just not interested in, but there is this...

Keeping in mind I'm not actually paying for it, is it decent quality? Night vision is cool but I'd likely never spend my own money on one.
Pretty sure its this model.http://bushnell.com/hunting/outdoor-technology/night-vision/nigh####ch-2-x-24mm

I know next to nothing about this stuff. Let me know your experiences...

If you're not paying for it, it's not the worst thing in the world. With a decent IR illuminator you could sit on the porch and beam coyotes. I bet you could see their eyes out to 50 yards.

It's nice that they let you manually turn the onboard IR floodlight on & off.

Given the choice, I'd rather use their digital stealthview systems. But those are heavily dependent on an IR source too.

If your choice is this or a mickey mouse watch: get this.

I got one if these from Costco about a year back....

It was returned the next day, image was terrible, my eye felt strained after 2 mins using it.
