Tell me about Cerakote on SS revolvers

I'm wanting to Cerakote a stainless S&W of mine, and I'm curious about Cerakote. Can I get some info, durability, cost, effectiveness on a SS revolver etc?

Durability is good. I had an sr22 done in burnt bronze battle worn and a slide on an sr9 to match. You can scratch it obviously like anything else but it's pretty hard finish. I paid around 300 for both pieces to be done.sorry neither were stainless but but I thought I could speak on Durability. I'm not very nice to either gun and it's held up very well
