I dont know very much about Lugers. A friend of mines father was a WWII vet and saw action in France, Italy and North Africa. He died a few years ago and my buddy took his guns. The only handgun he had was a 1940 Luger which for as long as I knew him his father had always told the same story as having taken the Luger from a soldier in France that he himself had "dispatched to hell to answer for his crimes." who knows what the real story is however it has a nice holster and "tool kit" with it. My friend recently remarried and needed to disppose of his guns. I purchased this from him last week for $300.
Those that know more than I.....please tell me a little about this gun.
