Regarding the improved Enfields.....

Who owns one? How do you like it? How does it perform?

Any range reports?

I own one but i haven't got to shoot it yet, the mags seem to fit in my poly m14 which is pretty cool, haven't got to shoot that either :(. The wood is really nice and the trigger is crisp, hopefully i'll get it out this weekend to see how it shoots. It's the heavy barrel version, B2 i think?

CAN AMM;
If you like the quality of these Chris, wait till you see our new European made M14s, coming soon.
John

x2 Interested for sure...

BTW, AIA's are fantastic quality. Worth the cost for sure, actually with the rising prices of milsurp Enfields these AIA's might be real bargains soon.

Speaking of the AIA guns, any word on replacement mags? its really the one thing that has been holding me back on the rifle. Not so keen on a gun with no replacement mags available.
I had heard rumor that someone in Canada was tooling up to make mags...truth?

Yes, i think they did, but then they are still stuck with the five round limit. And I hear they dont fit quite right, so feeding can be an issue.

If the AIA mags just happen to fit in an m14 too... well then bang for the buck right?

Last post I read here from johnone , he said that Marstar had stock that was tied up in US litigation and that if it did not clear they would bring in more from AIA....

This isn't true, it doesn't matter what the magazine HAPPENS to fit in, it's a 10 round magazine meant for a bolt action rifle, which by definition do not have magazine limitations.

So it's a legal 10 round magazine that... possibly works fine in an M14!

i think he meant that if an m14 mag did fit and work in an Aussie Enfield, one would be limited to 5 rounds, because its an m14 mag...
