Tell me about the CG63 target rifles in 6.5x55 at tradeexcanada....

yet, but look is very deceiving, my first crack at the mauser 98 in 6.5X55, it look pretty rough, with just the barrel action trigger, there was not much to look, but when I finally finish the stock and bedded, it shoot very consistently, group range from 1/4 inchs to one hold with sand bag,it was heavy 27inchs barrel. the gun weight even more than the rem700PSS.
with CG63 target rifles in 6.5x55 at tradeexcanada, I am sure there a better stock for it, that one could pimp it up...
 
You are buying second hand target rifles sold by shooters who knew their rifles were holding them back. Sorry to break the news.

These rifles came from Sweden where the competition has forced shooters to trade in their old rifles for newer and better ones. Early defensive Darwinism. Maybe the Swedes have limits on the numbers of rifles they can own, I don't know.

As for competitiveness, the actions are magazine fed with an open bottom. This type of receiver was tried extensively by Canadian target shooters through the 60's and 70's, along with the P14, M98, No.4, Savages and others, and banished to the back of the locker for true stiff short actions.
 
Unless you are world champion in target shooter where the extra edge count or winning the cash to supporting you habit, these are the extra step that would make a different, but for the average Joes, there would do plenty fine, there is nothing wrong with fedding ammo from a magazine, and yet it does have an advantage with single round feed when come to long range shooting like the bench rest guy, but beside that there are other discipline's.
there rifles would be perfect for peoples starting out in that caliber(6.5X55) with out breaking the wallet. it a good starting out rifles!

For that kind of money you could buy yourself a Rem SPS Varmint or even a Savage 12FV and you'd be miles ahead of what you're looking at here. They would only be "perfect" if there wasn't any choice but to buy one. Luckily for us, there are far better options.

For value spent I rate it a poor. In my mind, they're not worth any more than $350.
