tell me about the Sako AV fiberclass

They balance very well and come with roughly 24" barrels. I had a 338 WM for a while and did some hunting with it till I figured out that I didn't like the performance of the 338. They are a fine rifle !!

I love them - as CFMBI points out (no pun intended) they balance well and I find they are very mild to shoot. I also had one in .338 WM and that one in the EE is very tempting. :)

I have one in 300Win, bought it 27 years ago. Very nice rifle, quite light, balance and overall feel is about the best I've ever had. Trigger is also exceptional.

SAKO's are BORING

I have me some SAKO's, FinnBear , FinnWolf and FinnLight. They are BORING. They all have great triggers, they all shoot tiny little groups, they are all beautiful rifles. Like I said, they are boring!:D

Has a Sako installed Mcmillan fiberglass stock with a nice looking classic style shape. The only "magnum" Sako I have from that era is a .338WM Finnsport 2700 .. barrel is 24in. Shoots great - shot actually as I only fired about 15 rounds before putting it back in the box for storage - as most Sako's from then do. The stock is a little "slippery" as there is no checkering and the surface does smooth up over time. I have a similar McMillan Classic on a Remington 700 350RM and it is beautifully shaped for me..

All steel except the stock makes the Fiberclass a pretty rugged, accurate and good looking combination. You could do a WHOLE LOT worse!

Edited to add: just looked at the Fiberclass for sale.....I havent told you anything the seller hasnt mentioned - looks very nice. The factory iron sights are excellent - and very helpful in heavy bush if you use a scope with the older Sako rings which can be removed quickly. .338 works fine for deer as well as larger game ... a .338 250gr at 2500fps is about a perfect combination
