If bubba had previously repaired and checkered that stock, it does certainly appear his crack repair talents where just as bad as his checkering talents.

Obviously your in need of a new stock as that is an extensive crack which may not hold reliably after repaired.

For sure just buy yourself a Ruger MK11 pistol and take it apart and you

will even with online help you can be pizzed untill you git it right.

Even the 1911 can be taken apart a coupla differernt ways and you

need to learn what is best for you.

I took my MKII apart once and that was too many .
