Tell me about your pistol case...

Seems everyone is pretty happy with their Nanuk. I'm have the PA style aluminum case with pluck foam and it's starting to tear apart. Custom foam is worth more than the case is, and it's awkward to unload one, rotate the case, and unload the other (range rules is it comes out of the case pointed downrange). The Nanuk type all points downrange together.

Any site or CCFR sponsors to buy from?

Bought mine from bullseye.

I acquired 2 briefcases from work that were being thrown out. Brand new with tags and keys.

A couple pieces of eggshell foam that I acquired from work that was getting thrown out, cut to fit

Top piece removes to access the storage folders in the lid where registration certificates can be kept

Bottom eggshell comes out, a piece of electronics storage foam on the bottom with sections cut out for mag storage

Can carry 4-6 pistols with trigger locks on and multiple mags easily, the guns do not slide around, and the case has 3 locks. Total cost, $0.00

I have a Nanuk 4 up case and will never look at or use cheap cases again. Totally worth it.

The Nanuk cases look really nice but last i checked they won't fit a 6" barrelled revolver. I often take a mix of pistols and revolvers to the range so it's the PA cheapies for me. The weakness is the pluck foam failing after awhile but for $40-60 I can afford to replace the whole case every 4 or 5 years if needed.
