As a left-handed shooter, I was growing very tired of having the selector lever dig into my hand evey time I used my AR180B. I was reluctant to alter the selector but seeing as AR15 selectors are too short and AR180B selectors are hard to find, I had to.

First I ground off the "arrow point" so the selector wouldn't be blocked by the small elevared part on the reciver's right side.

Then I got a dremel and cut the slot that the retaining/hold-open spring fits into on the oppisit side of the selector.

And last, since the right side has no raised "lumps" to stop the selector from going too far, I took the bolt out of a Quick-Detach swivel and ground down the head and some of the end of it. Then I drilled a small hole through the polymer till I got to the metal plate. The hold held the modified QD bolt very tightly, but I put some JB weld in the hole just incase. I re-blued the spots on the QD bolt that were left shiney so it would look better.

I think it looks ok. Just wondering about what everyone elese thinks. It functions better, at least for me. No more annoying lever poking my hand:D

What until I get my billet lower made, you guys will love it!

Just think, it will basically be an AR15 lower but stretched to fit an AR180B upper.
