Tell me what you will suggest to me as my new 9mm pistol

That's a little bit more than my knowledge, I should take experts help to do that !

Not hard at all.

Just have to buy a device that measures the trigger weight. I'm not entirely sure what it's called though. Simple enough to use though. Just hook it onto the trigger and pull slowly. I believe it stops measuring when the trigger pulls back.

I'm new to this for the most part as well, so in just saying what I've seen on YouTube

Lyman makes a "digital" trigger pull gauge, used a friends a few times works awesome, trying to find a CDN vendor that has them but to no success. There are also "spring" versions as well but not near as accurate etc...

Well folks working in gun shops aren't known to be experts from my experience. The fact someone in the shop suggested your gun is sub 3#s is an indication.

If your club hosts IPSC events there will be or most often is a trigger pull gauge at the Chrono stage. I think yo will find your gun will have a trigger pull of around 6#s out of the box. Like has been posted to get to sub 3#s you would need to install the Apex Competition kit which contains a lighter trigger pull spring, a different sear/sear spring and striker block. Just installing the Apex striker block will give you a very smooth 6# trigger pull.

Enjoy your gun, mine has been dead nuts reliable to the point where I bought the PRO as well.

Take Care

That M&P will do great for a first pistol. The Range and Carry kit is great value especially if you are thinking of competing at some point.

Since you didn't list a budget though I'd have told you to get a Nighthawk Talon II 9mm ;)

Glock 17, CZ 75 b, standard Sig P226, S&W M&P 9.

Glock and M&P would be the easiest, no safety, no decocker, no hammer, only one trigger pull.

CZ 75 and Sig are also fairly straight forward and are still good pistols even if you are a beginner just slightly more complex then your basic striker fired.

People are going to recomend what they are using.

Try a different approch, try selectionning feature that you would like, and ask wich pistol have those fonction.

For exemple you want a striker fired pistol or hammer. Then if you want whit a hammer SA, DA or SA/DA. Do you whant adjustable back strap? what caliber.

I am very satisfied with these:

and on top of reliability and quality, the Beretta 92fs is so appealing to behold: The fine lines of an exposed barrel, puts the Beretta at the top on the catwalk, an appearance shared by few others.

Now that my bias is exposed...

9mm

Very nearly bought the jerecho941, love the feel of it!........in the end i read great things of the sti gp6, so thats what i got, liked something a little different, supposed to be great out of the box and super easy to strip!!!!
Good luck with your search!!!!!
Import

AWOL, I just noticed your Beretta 92fs is the American made model: How old is yours? I think that factory had a fire at one time, and production carried on in Italy, which is where mine was made. Does anyone here have one made in both factories to testify to any minute differences between the two?
