Temperature Stable Powder 300 Win Mag

Hi Everyone

I am new to reloading the 300 Win Mag cartridge. Most of my reloading experience is with 30.06 and .243. I would like feedback on a temperature stable powder for hunting with hopefully one of the following bullet choices. Nosler Accubond 165 or 180 grain. Barnes Tipped TSX 180 grain. When searching this forum, I found many recommended H1000. Do you still recommend this powder? Are there others to consider? What about RL 22? Thanks in advance for the help everyone.
 
RL22 is not 100% temp stable and she burns a lil warm when she a gets to da throat, capiche?

I have been playing with it for a bit now but not seeing much joy with 190gr Nosler CC's but it's quite possibly the bullet not the powder... Everything I have read on various forums points to either RL22 or H1000 for the 300WM... With the odd side banter about some 4### powder I can't remember the darn number rite now anyway.

My next plan of attack is 210 Bergers with RL22 or H1000, mind you every store in town has RL22 but H1000 is a bit harder to find round these parts.. Pretty sad when a $30 box of Winchester power point out shoots a guys carefully constructed handloads... :mad:

I was looking at H4350 for launching 208 AMAX in my newly constructed 300WM. I believe it's supposed to be quite temp. stable and should work well with the lighter stuff too if memory serves me correct. Feel free to chime in on this powder choice..
 
I have been using RL22 as my powder of choice for my 300WM with 180gr Accubonds and Federal 215 Mag Primers. I have hunted here in Alberta from spring & early fall with +20 degrees Celsius to late December with -35 deg. Celcius.......no issues for me.

I use Retumbo in my 270WSM in the same conditions. Last animal with my 270WSM and 140gr AB's was a large cow elk @ -33 deg. C 200m broadside.....she reared up , flipped over backwards dead!

The 180gr Accubonds or TTSX's will be a sweet load for your rifle.
 
I have used IMR4350 in my 7mm mag for a long time and it is not temp sensitive.
The IMR web site list loads using this powder for both your bullet choices.
 
I have done some definitive chrony tests with H1000 vs. powder temp but not with a .300 WM. In a .338 LM (which is not far off in size) I found a velocity variation of approximately 3 fps per degree celsius. If you want to be fussy (guilty :) you could have a summer/winter/fall load to acheive similar velocities in different temperatures.
