tempil stick vs tempilaq ??

I'm in the process of building an annealer and my two local welding supply stores only sell the tempil sticks.

The sticks are better priced ($19 and no shipping since i can get them locally) then the tempilaq (about $32 online plus shipping) and with the sticks i also don't need tempilaq thinner.
So stick sounds better so far.

Has anyone used both and willing to share experiences?

I don't need to put it inside the case neck since it will be an induction annealer,
so that advantage of the tempilaq does not matter.

I have. The sticks I found locally are unusable for brass as they simply will not adhere to the cases. The stick seem to require a rough surface.
