I think its an interesting idea, and when you have an interest in a certain rifle, why not play around with your hobby a little? there is plenty of mosins on the market, and plenty saved by collectors to balance a little bubba love. And if its bolt on then no harm, it turns his crank and he puts time and energy into it so good for him.
