Ten shot group.

I got a little frustrated after blowing a couple of shots at a match on the weekend so I thought I would try a 10 shot group as everyone else was still finishing their target.

The top right hand shot was a misread on the wind but its still part of the group.

From top to bottom it measure 3/8" as well as side to side if you don't count the top right hole

here is a pic of the rifle used. Its a remington 40x that has been bedded trigger worked and crown recut. I bought it off this forum from Horseman2.

it also has a 3" front bag rider on the stock now as you can see here.

As for ammo I am using Lapua Center X . I do also have a tuner I have yet to try, but will soon hopefully.

That is a Cowan Rest built by his students at a technical school . The guys name to contact is Joseph Cowan. There has been a 5 month wait list but apparently they got some new equipment to lessen the wait list. I believe all the cash from the sales go back into the program .

It was only 50yds.

Have you tried 100 yards yet?
The lower left measured .698. The other two are 1.071 and 1.245.

No I havent tried 100yd yet but will be in a couple of weeks as we are having a match at a 100yds.

TRX your lucky to own a beautiful 40x they are hard to find, very nice shooting, you might want to give some Midas+ a try, it worked pretty good in my 40x

I have another question for you. Is that "bag rider" something you made yourself or is it available commercially? I have a 40-X centerfire rifle (.244 Remington) and the rounded stock has always been a pain (on bags).

Its something I had made . It sits right in the were the hand-stop rail went.
