Ten Thousand Plus

Moe,
Currious to know the ammo used (commercial or hand loaded...etc), and what type of shooting do you do (mostly) and magazine types (issues?) and lastly, was there a significant accuracy loss after 16k down the pipe?

The ammo was about 50% 55gr ball, 25% 55gr reloads (Vmax mostly), 25% 62gr Ball. About 50% of the time it was relaxed recreational shooting. Might shoot quickly for a mag but would let it cool before continuing to the next mag. About 25% of the time was IPSC shooting which is fast paced and upwards of 30rds fired in under a minute. Lastly about 25% of the time it was bump fired with 10rd LAR mags. It would be allowed to cool between mags. After all that abuse it was still shooting 3MOA (it was a 16" thin whip 1/7). The thing never shot much better than that when new. All done with irons or an aimpoint dot and no magnification. New It never did better than 2 MOA. again it was a very light 5.5Lb carbine with irons. It never started wearing out parts until we discovered bump firing. Once that dumb phase of life ended it never wore out any more parts. Mags were a mix of 5/30 USGI and later once they came out 10rd LAR. I sold it before the whole BW mag phase started.
