I really want to get a hunting pack for next season, looking at the Tenzing brand because of my price range. Still not entirely sure what I want out of a pack, right now, at my skill level and because Saskatchewan is all private land, I don't hunt more than a few kilometres from my truck and I won't be packing out quarters over harsh terrain. I'm primarily interested in White Tail and Mule Deer.

I'm gravitating towards something like this, so I can keep the weight down, yet have the essentials on my person:

But I'm also kind of attracted to something like this:

Which seems like it would be handy come rifle season.

I have a Tenzing 2200 and it's great. I hunt moose/deer in ON and we don't pack out quarters we drive the atv right to the animal. My pack has been durable, lightweight, waterproof and very comfortable on my back. Tenzing makes quality products albeit not in the same league as Kuiu/Mystery Ranch.

At that price take a look at Kuiu and shave a pound and a half off the pack. I can't speak for that pack, I guide with a Kuiu 7200 and so does my head guide who's twenty years more experienced. I followed his lead and haven't regretted it.
Is there a dealer in Canada for the Kuiu 7200 pack?

Nope. They sell online direct only. You just missed their 5th anniversary sale too. I picked up their Icon Pro 3200 for 25% off! Now to see how it rates against the reigning king, Mystery Ranch. I know which one is lighter by far (Kuiu) but have to find out firsthand how it handles with a ridiculous load.

I'm addicted to spending, spent the last little while drooling over Kifaru packs, especially like their Gun Bearer accessory. I don't think the way I hunt right now can justify owning one just yet, but I am a subscriber of the the "buy once, cry once" mentality, especially being single and having no kids.

But dat exchange rate, doe.
