Spent a couple hours out on the range today, trying to will my Savage MKII to shoot 1/4" groups with Eley Biathlon.
After giving up on that, I loaded some SK Magazine into the TM22 to see how it would do.
Overcast, foggy, and hovering just above freezing all day. I started shooting at 830 this morning, so when I shot the Derya at 4 pm I honestly wasn't even really into it anymore.
Enough with the excuses though!
This was quick and dirty, fingers were getting cold so I basically just dumped 5 rd groups into the target. I started shooting at the pasties them did a few more groups in the open spaces between.
Some decent, some pretty dismal. But I'm all about transparency, I won't cherry pick and try blowing smoke.

Not going to turn any heads in the br circles, but my goal is to find a reasonably priced
consistent standard velocity ammo for run of the mill rifles and pass findings on to whoever may care to read it.
After I turned out this amazing set of groups, my buddy asked if he could have a go and loaded up some RWS Special Match to try in it.
His results:

With a group average of .523 he shot better than me (5 groups vs my 11).
He's a more patient shooter than me, and he was using ammo that should shoot better than the SK.
That being said, I don't think either of us were really taking our time. We were both shooting relatively quickly and wanted to wrap up the day.
All I learned today was that I want to revisit this rifle and try to see if I can get some reasonable consistency out of it. One sub .3 group among bigger doesn't tell me if the rifle is capable of repeatability. I would rather have .4 all day long than the odd hero group.
Again, I'm not a br guy. I have been playing around with groups at 50 this summer mostly because I was trying to find a reasonable ammo for critters.
It's a rabbit hole if you want it to be.
