A set of Thai grips for a S&W M19 .357 snub that I ordered off ebay arrived today.

The fit and finish is perfect, better than a set of Ahrens grips I have on a similar gun, at a much lower price.

The odd thing is that they came via Germany! The wonderful world of e-commerce.

I've got two sets of Hogue grips coming and I'm wondering how they will compare with the Thai grips.

If I knew how to post pics .....

Mine are for a M19 RB with finger grooves. The wood has a nice figure and I rubbed in a coat of oil. I suspect some SE Asian hardwood. Works for me.

I got some buffalo horn 1911 grips (look like aged ivory) for my wild bunch 1911. From Vietnam. Vietnamese guy at work says most stuff from there will come by boat, and may stop at just about every port in the world on it's way here. Mine literally took 2 months to get here.
