Thanks fellas! I'd be really interested to see how these expand given the plastic tips and those triangular indents.

I would suspect the triangular indents would hold the base of the bullet together after the front half has expanded.

Is the polymer tip hard or soft, relative to a thumbnail scratch test?
 
I believe the first SabreTip bullets Dominion made were for the .303. The feed ramps in Lee Enfields really chewed up soft point bullets.

170 Grain Imperial Sabre Tip designed for the 30-30. The copper jacket is staked to the core - similar to the Kling Kore bullets - to help reduce the possibility of separation. The 150 grain 30-30 Sabre Tips were a beautiful blue colour so you didn't get them mixed up.

I shot more than a few deer years ago with the 170 grain design and never found them any more destructive than other 30-30 bullets.
