Just wanted to publicly recognize the great support I got from Canada Ammo and Paul in particular throughout my purchase of a Norinco M14 Shorty.

I'm a Noob to guns (well civvy side anyway..), CGN, and above all Norcs, and Paul was very patient with me and answered all my questions, IE thinking Cosmoline was rust, the proofing process and the whole 9 yards. Still havent had a chance to take this gun to the range, but its a good feeling knowing that Canada Ammo has already proofed the rifle and done a pre inspection.

In front of all CGNers, Thank you Paul and thank you Canada Ammo

You'll enjoy the m305. Decent shooter, great price.

Just got my op rod and sight mount today. The stripper clip guide removal was a pain. The pin was easy to remove, the clip was jam in there tight, took a lot of hammering to get it out.

What mount did you get if you don't mind me asking. I have the casm mount and its rock solid, very impressed by it. No need to remove stripper clip guide, but you do have to remove the rear site.

Got the cheap alum. one from CanAmmo that mounts onto the stripper clip guide anchor.

Too cheap to buck up for the CASM plus this one is see-through for the iron sight.

The gen 2 casm mount has a hole in the rear so you can still use the irons if need be. Is on the pricey side though. Hope it works out for ya.
