After sitting on my workbench for over two months, because life sometimes gets in the way, I finally got my Apachee Trigger installed in my FVSR today....

Wow is hardly adequate, and thanks isn't enough - Dale your trigger is the best money I've spent on any firearm accessory....PERIOD.

To a farm kid who grew up shooting Cooey rifles (very accurate/dependable but not great triggers) it turned a good Accutrigger into a very light and safe trigger for my dedicated standard silhouette rig.

Can't hardly wait for the Provincial Championships at the end of the month - I'll need to get some practice to adjust to new set up.

I don't have a trigger guage, but even set up an extra half turn to eliminate slam fires it is much, much lighter than my hunter class 52 Winchester repo that was tuned to 2lbs.

Good luck in the finals Tom, I'll see ya there I think we're shooting in the same class too. I never did get my standard rifle up and running this year, been stuck shooting my Hunter for both.

This kit doesn't replace the trigger entirely, does it? It's still the (kind of 2-stage) accutrigger, not a normal single stage?

RabidM4U5 - I didn't make it out to the match last month either - just too much going on - work and the usual family stuff....

I've only missed one Provincal Championship in the last 20 + years I've been shooting smallbore with y'all... and one year got whupped by a 16 year old girl....in both standard and hunter rifle classes....

The world would be a much better place, in my opionion, if more 16 year old girls could shoot like her LOL.

I recently got a used MKII BTVS with the Appache. I like it a lot, but it seems expensive for what you get in terms of actual parts. I realize that the value is there, you get the results, and lots of time went into R&D. But a spring, 2 pins and a ball bearing is really all it is. That said, I am looking at buying another trigger for another Savage.
I also have a MKII BV that I got used that has a Rifle Basix trigger. I hadn't shot it in years, had it out this week and was shocked at how well it performed. I haven't had them side by side for a comparison yet, next trip.

It was in comparing the two online that made me realize the value of each. The Rifle Basix is a bit more money, but you get a hole new trigger that drops in. Compare that to the Apachee and you see where I am coming from. Like I said, the Apachee is a great kit, don't get me wrong, and I may end up buying another after a side by side. It is the cheapest kit, and I am a cheap man, so it has that going for it. Just my observations while shopping for my next trigger.
