Not sure were to Post this so feel free to move it.

Lastweek the canada post guy showed up with my 1945 TT33. Great condition it has refurb marks but i would be very surprised if it has ever been shot. The spare mag it came with has an issue with the follower sticking when i try to put the 6th round in. Im not too concerned, if i cant fix it im sure they will help out.

For some reason i didnt just go for the ammo/ pistol combo and was kicking myself for it. I placed an order thursday morning for a crate of 7.62 x 25, this evening the big brown truck showed up with 2280 rounds of 1954 made ammo.

I could not believe how fast both theese transactions were. I reccomend tradeex to everyone here.

Just received my 1944 model today, via UPS, also from Tradex. The gun is in excellent condition and the barrel, at least, appears to be brand new.

I spent a half hour or so disassembling things and dunking them in Varsol to get rid of all the excess packing oil or whatever. Doesn't seem like cosmoline, but they sure are buttery when you get em. :D

I don't know what marks it has. Tradex advertises them as "arsenal refinished", so I guess it's been refurbished.

Anyone have any links for where to find out what the markings mean?

I just got my Tokarev today ('51) and I agree it seems more well oiled than cosmo, but mine was rather gritty. I suspect there was a bit of dirt in the holster, enough that it wore a bit of blueing off the front of the slide. Either that or it was already worn, it is surplus after all. I'm itching to get home and clean it up some more then hit the range in the morning. Tradeex was pretty patient with me too when it took a month and a half to get my LTATT. Seems my range membership is a hard thing to fax.

My update is it wasn't dirt, it seems the holster is old enough it was dried out and flaking off. I would have a range report, but when I went to the range Saturday I didn't make it due to a road closure because someone hit a hydro pole.
