When I saw this Comp on the Ares Armour website I was curious at first and thought it is just a gimmick. But, then I had to give it a shot since it looked like fun to own. At the same time I got this Comp, I already had on order an Armtac built upper. So, Chris had the Upper I ordered, got it and he told me that the Comp was on the way. Had my Upper mated to the Lower and the Comp came in as well. Had to go to the range and try the setup. So here it is:

Target. Shot at 50 meters. Standing. And since Iam not as seasoned as Chris Costa and Travis Haley, I did my best to shoot this as steady as I can. The results, the upper grouping is 62 grain AE and the lower grouping is 55 grain AE.

I followed the instructions on plugging up the holes on the comp with the set screws provided and this is what I have. I would like to shoot this more now as my own personal perceived recoil from this seems to be far less as compared to my LMT 10.5 with a standard birdcage flash hider.

This time in the range I also had with me a Dlask Linear Comp. I believe it is called a Reworked Levang Comp. And since the Effing A Comp is stackable as advertised I did this experiment. I removed the cap off the original Effing A and screwed in its place the Dlask Comp. Though, it looks funny and out of place I was again just curious and had to get this experiment going. So, here it is.

The result. Again, standing and doing what I can to steady the rifle.

Note, there one flyer on the target.
Recoil was actually much smoother and the blast was a little less louder than staying with the Effing A alone.

The posting is just an opinion and again I am no expert on the AR platform.Just a person who likes to have toys around to play with. Thanks again Chris for bringing in stuff that are hard to acquire and thanks also to Joe Dlask. :)
