I recently sent a Rem 700P to ATRS for a pimping job. It came back with the barrell cut to 22 inches + a new Timney trigger group + a cerakoat job of the barrelled action and they put it in a Cadex chassis. Needless to say, I am VERY happy. They did a great job and before doing so advised me in the work to be done. They also were fantastic to deal with and very patient with me.

Thanks Alberta Tactical Rifle System

I just added some not so good quality pics. You can see on the fourth one that my scope clearance is real tight but just enough. You can see on the same pic that I stupidly put a ding on my nightforce scope. I dropped it on the hard tile floor. I have been playing with scopes for years and it is the first time this happens to me. I am quite pissed at myself, sure hope it is just a cosmetic ding and that there won't be damage. It appears to work fine. I'll try the whole rig as I am going to the range tomorrow.

It is an MPOD bipod from Mystic precision. Very well built and stable. Jerry at Mystic is real nice to deal with.

Update: I am just back from the range. I only shot at 50 yards today, to sight in the scope. First: good news: the scope is working just great and this Night Force 8X32X56 is sooooo clear. And also the rifle is fantastic. At 50 yards, most of the time: one ragged hole groups off a bipod with no rear bag. I also like the adjustability of this skeleton butt. The Cadex chassis is a real quality piece. I should try 100 and 200 yards maybe next week end.

Why use rings on such an expensive set up?

A solid one peice mount like an ADM or something would be so much better and probably give you proper clearance with the scope.

This is a awsome rig but I would ditch the rings for a nice one peice mount
Your night force deserves it..

Looks like the front bell of the scope just clears the barrel, giving it the perfect height.
It seems one piece mounts are the flavour of the week - absolutely nothing wrong with rings.

Fully agree. The tacticool crowd are definitely all over the 1-pc mounts as of late.

What does a 1-piece mount do that is so much better than a pair of high quality rings? Unless a guy wants to mount an IR designator or run an RMR on an offset mount, I simply don't see the point.

First about the rings: Since these ones were so low, I could not get proper cheek rest even when adjusting the butt piece to its maximum. I bought slightly higher rings (medium) and while they give me proper cheek rest, the scope stays quite close to the rifle. I bought good quality Vortex rings ( paid 235$) at CRAFM as I was there for my scope sight in period. I got them and the scope professionally installed by one of their guys. Works great !
Secondly: about the bolt knob. You guys are right, I should have made ATRS do something more custom. Maybe in the future.

You're right about the dent on the objective bell. Clumsy me... Happily, it is only cosmetic and the scope functions perfectly.
