S&W Model 52-2, What do the go for?

I've always thought these were a sweet pistol, and would like to buy one. What is a reasonable price to pay for one of these?

A 52-2 in great condition seems to go for about 1200+.

I sold a nice one two years ago for $900 with two mags. A real minty $1000-ish would be a good price, however they are a niche pistol. ^^^^$1800? Well if it sold for that price, I guess someone really wanted it

Our market is so small that establishing market value on relatively rare guns is very difficult. It's not like we have an Ebay type site where you can go back and look at the last 50 that sold and come up with an average. Having said that I'd agree with the 1200-ish estimates offered here.

Not really....I shoot a lot of .38 wadcutter that i buy from commercial reloaders like Wolf or Centaure

True. But that ammo isnt always available in more than 1 or 2 boxes.
Great shooting pistol though, i had a chance to fire one a few years ago.
