thanks moving target for the best russian SKS i have ever seen .

I bet the fake plant says "made in Viet Nam" on it

Possibly, but most likely it was made in China.....like nearly everything else.

I just talked to Ed awhile ago and mine is on the way!:D

I'm regretting now I switched my order from two to one. Curtton's rifles are nice!:)

well, if i knew it was gonna be this good i would have ordered more but were afraid of being disappointed .

anyways , i think there are more coming so i still can upgrade my other ones in my collection .

btw: actually the wooden banana plants is made in indonesia . :D

Yeah, I'd like to order a case......but I have a rich man's dreams with a poor man's wallet.

Ed must have saw my whining post and sent me an e-mail asking for my name so he could check on my order. LOL! I had just got off the phone with him minutes before.:D

That is what I call customer service!:)

Here's my 1954 Tula from Moving Target.
I am very pleased with it :D
The photos don't really do it justice, the wood is beautiful.
All matching numbers.

very nice nort , almost as nice as mine . :D:D:D

whats up with the animal skulls ? trying to upstage my wooden banana plant ? :D

Kidding, it's a 1950 refurb. But really quite nice, and Ed has a whole whack that have already been spoken for that are just unbelievable. Ed's doing some really good work for all the people getting these things mailed out. 3 people, checking and re-checking.
Good work moving target

Yeah, he seems to be the go-to-guy when it comes to finding a beautiful mint Russian SKS.

Good work, Ed!:)

Its called art :D:redface:

I don’t think mine is a truly unissued rifle.
It has been disassembled before, there are faint marks from the take down lever and the gas cylinder tube latch.
I don’t care, the rifle looks great.
Moving Target did fine by me and I will be a repeat customer.

Think about this: the rifles were made over 50 years ago, have been kept in storage for XX years, have been checked once in awhile, have been moved around, inspected again, packed and shipped overseas, taken apart for whatever reason, inspected, magazine pinned, put together, etc.
Even the most pristine has some signs of manipulation on it.
Look at the condition of the bolt, carrier, piston and cylinder, hammer, etc. and you can determine whether the gun has been used or not. They may not have been issued but that doesn't mean they are fresh from the factory.

They were lucky to make it over here, look what happened to their little cousins, most of them brand new, never used...

faints marks left by the top cover & gas cylinder latches are not a good indicater that the rifles were issued or not bcos your rifle has to be unlatched so it can be cleaned after test firing and also when the mag was being pinned here.

on mine , there was a black touch up paints on the butt plates and around the muzzles. i can with my finger nail remove the paints and i can see whats below, yup! the scratches left by the bayo.
