OK, a while back I purchased a S&W 3000 from a board member here for a very good price so I decided to make it my project shottie. The shotgun was functional and everything but it just looked used, so I decided to bring it over to Striker to see if he could help me out.

Well, he did....

The new colours are Flat Black for the trigger assembly and Titanium for the rest. The stock I painted myself, just so it would match....I'm getting a Mesa Hightube Stock for this one.

Not only did he do a very good job at making this once dull shotgun look great, but he even went as far as checking back with me a few days later to be sure that everything went ok with the reassembly.

This was the first gun we refinished in titanium. Luger9 picked it out and we ordered it in.
I like it a lot more then the brushed stainless I did my Taurus frame in.
 
Hot damn... I like how the S&W3000 has the ejector pinned in place. Excellent idea. Are the latches staked like the 870 or done another way?

The shell latches are completely different then an 870. Where the 870's are flat spring steel, the 3000's are stamped steel with a spring between them and the receiver. They are held in place by pins that run vertically up through the receiver wall.
You can see the hole for the pin in this pic.

The innards of the 3000 are much different from the 870, and from what I can see not interchageable. The outer, however, is pretty much a copy so most furniture for the 870 will fit the 3000.

Apparently though the forend is different and can't be swaped. I haven't tried this yet but as soon as I have a free minute at work I'm gonna give it a whirl.

i have a new pump and short plastic forend i figgered i could use on my 870 but its not good, guess is should sell it off.
What i want is some one to buy one of my rem 870 single point sling mounts and confirm if it fits.
Anyone intrested ill cut them a deal on it.

If it goes between the butt and receiver..it should fit. I held the factory stock off my marine magnum up to Luger9's receiver and it looked like a perfect fit.
 
what sort of finish is that? looks pretty nice. Ive been trying some different duracoat stuff recently, comes out pretty good but its tricky to do it right so its durable.

Then it will fit, i have been told it will, just like to know for a fact.

All I can say is if you're in business I have 2 870's with your name on them now, would love to get a flat black finish as a starter for my 2 "project" guns. One will hopefully end up dressed in full wood but witht he 18" barrel, ghost ring sights, and mag extention. The other one will end up like an 870 P-MAX clone, complete with surefire flashlight foreend.
