Moving to the states and he wants bring an SKS with him ?

That is like going to the best (in terms of quality, variety and prices) restaurant in town and asking management if its OK to bring in a Quarter Pounder with Cheese!

Best course of action (if I were in that situation): Sell all the guns in Canada...replenish the toy fund move to the states and start over.

SKS' may be rare or unattainable down there but so what ... look at all the other awesome toy available.

Hi.. A fellow I know is planning a move to the U.S. He will be filling out the ATF form 6 for his firearms but was an anxiously wondering if the SKS will be allowed in or not.

Anyone know if former ComBloc weapons can be taken to the States?

Thanks

Nope........
The Chinese SKS was banned for importation on May 26, 1994 by President Clinton. This is an importation ban, for new SKS and is not a ban on ownership of a Chinese SKS. This ban was all wrapped up in the politics of the period, which also resulting in the - expired, during George W. Bush.

try to order one in france and says royale with cheese to see how it goes lol ...

the name is quart de livre avec fromage ... you cannot believe everything you see on movie lol ...

If I learned any french in school I'd know that. I once saw a guy fly 25 feet from a shotgun blast...

Shame your friend may have to sell the sks but it's always popular so it should sell, use funds for a USA legal (OIC banned) rifle.

I just got a great deal on a Russian SKS because a co-worker is moving stateside and can’t take it with him. Thing is in great shape and I almost felt guilty paying him his asking price.
