That dang Magazine won't budge!

My SKS Magazine is as tights as Wendy Culkiers arse at a gunshow.

Anyone else have a Chinese SKS with a Magazine that won't budge?
Not the D model btw.

I've read all the how to take apart stuff, and even watched the vid' on Surplus rifle...his Mag' pops right out.

Is there a hidden button or something?
She opens fine, and even rattles abit, she just won't come out of the stock.

I have a D so I'm not sure. I do know they have to be cocked and on safe for the action to come apart tho...

Blackthorne is on the right track, try this;

1) with the gun fully assembled, safety on and the mag floor plate held by the catch, rack it so the bolt catches on the hold-back latch.
2) hit the mag catch and drop the mag floor plate.
3) pop the trigger group out
4) pop the mag assy. out of the mag well

The bolt has to be in the last shot hold-open position, since the mag feed lips wrap around the lugs of the bolt. The trigger group also has to be outta the way, since it holds the mag in the mag well (to prevent the whole magazine from loosening and falling out at some point). Duckbill mags don't have the little lip at the back edge to catch on the trigger group, since they have to slide in and out freely. The mag catch is the only thing that holds duckbill mags in, another reason they tend not to function as well as the OEM fixed mags

Failing that, you may just have a really sticky mag, just keep yarding on it and it'll come out eventually

Easy: just retract the bolt to the rear and it will let the magazine ears clear the slots on each side of the bolt, then the whole thing will fall down.

Oh I feel silly...Bolt back, trigger group out, and she pops out.
I didn't have the bolt back.
