That Made in Canada M203 project...

If it takes another 3 years I personaly dont care, aslong as we get it, and its a quality item I'm all for it. Probably sell better then Dlask new restricted pump.

Isn't the general plan for this thing to be an interchangable mount package for one launcher? IE, buy a mount for a PE90, another for your AR and one more for you M305 and junst one launcher, then swap between rifles?

That I would wait for!!

And besides, it will take me that long to save up for the danged thing!!

It will take me twice as long to find a reason to justify it, but what the hell!!

Kyle is correct - the general plan is several mounts, one launcher.

We have again been thrown off track for timeline, a 12.3M job came in the shop and I cannot get any of the machinists to make stuff on their own time, b/c if they are there they are expected to work OT.

We still plan to put this into production.

We have NO TIMELINE right now.

Sorry to dissapoint y'all.

Mike

Not disappointed in the least! do it right, just as long as you do it! Keep plugging away and get them out on the market, just give me enough time to get my piggy bank full again so I can play too!

Just a thought. OGT bought launchers from Israel @ roughly $5.00 a pound. They told me this themselves. So, why not buy more surplus barrels from Israel or other country, have them cut the last 2.5 inches off (chamber area) rendering them inoperable, import them as scrap metal, then re-chamber and machine the back to it's original specs (not a barrel till chambered). You now have a short barrel M203 that resembles the ones on an M4.

I was bored, had nothing to do, so I decided to read some old threads, and for ####z and giggles added something. So what are you doing here reading a 6 year old thread in Zombie land?

Nice, so each M203 cost them less than $20 and they resold them for $500+ :D

An airsoft replica with a CO2-charged grenade shell will propel a projectile with surprising force, and no legal issues to deal with. Y'all need to get over the whole airsoft inferiority complex, there are many that play in both worlds and each has it's place.

Frankly I think I'd rather have an airsoft M203. Easy to find grenade shells for, no legal issues, unregistered, filled up with readily available CO2 or propane, and can launch whatever you want to put into (or in front of) the shell. Squash ball fits perfectly BTW. And sure as hell cheaper. Who's gonna know the difference besides you? :p

Sorry guys.

Mike and I looked into it, and due to increased controls on Grenade launchers due to ITAR, even the small parts could not be exported from down here.

Thus everything would need to be built in Canada -- add in the CFC's requirements to register GL's, the business would need a manufacturing license and the added burdens on building whatever the Government was determining launchers to be...

International Treaties now prohibits the sale of these, and parts thereof, internationally to non government entities.

So basically its a no go.
