I bought a 12(6) revolver from a friend of mine and we started the transfer Friday. I called today (Tuesday, because of the long weekend). Transfer complete. I can't meet up with my buddy until Thursday to pick it up though.

Something scary is going on....
I started a restricted rifle transfer on a Friday. Buyer called in following Tuesday to confirm. Restricted Rifle transfer was completed next day Wednesday. Buyer had his rifle Friday.
Also, a two way transfer(trade) of HG's were called in by myself and the trader on Monday. Both transfers were completed and TATT to the post office were issued Wednesday. Both HG's were delivered by CanPost Thursday!
All three restricted transfers were issued in Ontario.....

Around Christmas it was six weeks. Last month I had a xfer done in one day.

They probably do it to placate us. Throw us some fast transfers and we forget about all the other stuff. Works for me.

Well, considering that everyone was swamped by the $0 renewal for grandfathered licenses, maybe they're not busy anymore, and the extra staff (*cough* yeah right) is helping to clear stuff out?
