Seeing as you already know you can shoot well with the 870, the issue is 100% improper fit and not technique/form. Go see a gunsmith and make adjustments or buy another gun.

I thought I would enjoy a modern semi-auto, that's why I bought this shotgun from a friend. I have not enjoyed it. As far as semis go I have an old A5 in 2 3/4 only that works fine and I can hit with that one too so no more pissing around -- The Browning Gold going into my local shop on consignment.

I have a Winchester 2200 pump that's like that for me. I think it's the rib that messes me up, sloping down towards the muzzle. All my other guns I can shoot well, and coincidentally they have parallel ribs.

Putting it on paper is a must.
It is not uncommon for guns with choke tubes to shoot “ not there”.
Remington had serious POI issues with their V3 early on... all attributed to cockeyed choke tubes.
Aftermarket tubes were the fix.
Worth a look.
