I haven't been out as much as I did in the past , but I still manage to see game. The grouse seemed to be around quite a bit and a few of those tasty lil morsels came home with me over the season.
I saw three bears while out deer hunting,I don't hunt bears anymore but I could have filled the tags if I did.
I watched one as he was fishin' salmon out of one of the local creeks,he never knew I was there. The other two were spotted while on the way to find a deer or two. Maybe I will have to get a tag and get some pepperoni going.....
The deer have presented themselves but they were does in the wrong areas and not in the shotgun zones. Getting out being away from downtown traffic is good medicine. All a guy can do is keep lookin' and scouting around....happy hunting.

true its takes a better hunter to not pull the trigger. if we got something everytime we went out then the fun would be gone very fast

I've been out four times thus far this year and only filled one tag, my archery tag went unfilled and I had just about called it a day when we got that buck Saturday. And each and every time out was a good day, animal or not. Glad to hear you enjoyed your outing, regardless.

John, I only hunted a grant total of 3 days, this year. Managed to get my buck tag filled, and also bagged two birds (Sprucies) Oh well can't have ruffies all the time. Anyhow I too have in just those 3 days managed to see and hold off for one reason or another at least five bucks. One 8 pointer, he was too close to the road, a 10 pointer, got away from me, A buck which was before legal hunting time,, so just kept on driving to my blind. A mink, while sitting in my blind, he was mousing.. funny critter indeed. An old bear stand complete with rotten beaver bait across the creek. You know it was just nice to be able to be out in the woods, it completes some kind of year cycle for me..

The bears that I have seen this year so far have given me plenty of time to get an aimed shot off,I get more opportunity to take bears than the guys who still hunt them.
I have been saying for ten years that I'm going to buy another bear tag, haven't yet.:D

It does take a better hunter not to pull the trigger. Don't give up it sounds like you love the outdoors. Sooner or latter a legal one will pop up.
