Ive got a 17 and a Norc Commander.Ive said it a million times. Id take the 1911 for fun factor any day of the week. Trigger pull is much nicer and it feels better in the hands. The 17 is the end of the world gun. Super reliable and the bullets and the gun itself are much lighter. The Glock is still fun and its pretty accurate for an under $700 gun. But after the first 20rds out of my own 1911 i was a believer and will DEFINETLY buy a few more in my life time.

Let us see; which pistol has a 99 year record of successful combat use? Oh ya NOT the glock!
These 4 pistols saw action in 1914 on the Western Front, none of them are plastic!
I am sure all of these are still in operating condition. What do you think would happen to the Glock after 100 years? I suspect that time would make the plastic brittle.
Number 3 was issued to a Canadian Engineer Captain, who ended the 1st World War as at Lt Col. and the Commanding Officer 2nd Canadian Engineer Battalion
...@ Garand; that is the weirdest 1911 holster I've ever seen? Is it American or Canadian made? Matching mag pouches? Even the fasteners are unfamiliar.
