I just had to e-mail that photo to my Dad. He's gonna love that. I just bought a .25-06 that I'm hoping to use for wolves. I just have to sight it in and go. Nice work on the yote Todbartell!

Already had the 270 HB Varmint rig & a .264 Win Mag
... but re-grouped a little while back with a 25-06 !

Did that once with one of the bigger ones (canis lupus)
but didn't get 33 feet though, maybe only 10 or 12.

Nice shootin' T-Bart !!!

What load/bullet did you use?

70 grain Nosler Ballistic Tip over enough RL15 to get 3500 fps. Shot was 200 yards, full frontal angle, bullet exited the back of her neck.

Nice shot.My 243 took a doe last year that looked like it was hit by buckshot.I hit her on the ball of the shoulder and got fragments everywhere. At least 8 different holes coming out but only one went in.I was watching a yote in the field but it wouldn't come any closer. So i decided to take the shot at the deer .I find they taste better anyway

I took a 'yote at around 400 yds a few weeks ago using my 220 Swift & the 50 Ballistic Tip started at just over 4000. The 'yote was broadside, and the exit was about baseball size, with a fair bit of lung ending up on the grass on the farside. Sure deflated him in a hurry. Regards, Eagleye

Nice shot, I can't use a 243 in NB for coyotes 22 center fire only, must be nice, I used my .22-250 on deer all the time 70gr speer bullet on top of
33.5 gr of 4064 = 3300fps one buck was 186 field dress at 178yds and it ran for 30ft and piled up

I got to 1-up ya....

6mm Remington

Whitetail 4x5 buck's heart

This was with a 90gr Ballistic Tip. Needless to say I WON'T be using that bullet anymore...to explosive at close range. 60 yard shot...buck made it about 40 yards before he piled up....amazing how far they can go with insides torn to pieces.
