He is right skneub...... no hard feelings, and it’s awesome that more women are involved in our sport.... but that is a cheap scope, regardless of what was paid.....
Sometimes you get sold snake oil..... it happens....

Not sure where to post this question.
My father has a Marlin 30/30 with a scope. Only have 4 bullets put through it and it is in excellent shape. No marks, scratches or dents. It is a lever action side eject. It was purchased brand new and is just over a year old. The scope is a Bushnell Sportview, which he paid $250 for brand new. He doesn't hunt anymore and is thinking about selling it.
Just wondering if someone could tell me what kind of price he might be able to get for the rifle and scope if he decides to sell it
No way that rifle is a year old lol. That is a glenfield Marlin model 30as. Neither it or that scope are in production anymore. In fact(and someone correct me if I am wrong), the 30as was marlin's economy rifle with hardwood stock, cheaper sights and was discontinued in the early 90's. They sold well under $300(even with a package scope). The sports view was the bottom of bushnell's line and really adds no value to the rifle. I agree with others on value. $450 in top condition. My advice is keep and enjoy. They are nice functional rifles. Had one myself years ago.

Been in it for a few months. Shoot almost exclusively cast bullets. Love this gun
I joined the club just last year at a local auction here in Oklahoma. Always wanted a 30-30 in lever action so bid on a Model 94 NRA centennial in nice shape. Hour later a Canadian centennial shows on table. Even better deal, guess nobody way down here wanted the strange markings ha ha. So I went home with two. In fact also went home that day with nib unfired Ruger Standard, 1 of 5000 with Bill Ruger signature. But that's a different story.
The 1967 is most accurate of two with longer octagonal barrel but I prefer shooting the shorter barrel 1971.

I willmake a post to help me identifying mine, weirdest thing, it has a step barrel or tapered. Love my levers.

I have a Stevens 325A 30-30 bolt gun.

In with two 94s in 30-30. One pre and one post ‘64. I actually just got the newer one out and gave it a complete disassemble cleaning. It wasn’t feeding very well so it had been sitting for a couple of years. It looks and works great again.
Now onto the old one. It has the feeding issue were the next round falls under the feed ramp and jams the gun. I need to add some metal to the little stopper nub on the front of the link. Problem is someone broke the head off the link pin screw so I can’t get it apart. Work in progress.

Just purchased my fifteen year old son his first hunting rifle...a Henry 30-30 (brass with octagonal barrel). He's an old soul. His older brother has a .308 bolt gun with expensive glass, hunts with a compound bow, etc. The fifteen year old likes old sports cars and shoots a longbow. So the Henry was a given.
Had it out for the first time on the weekend...lovely little gun...he nearly had to fight me for it
