Can you fit a Williams peep to the reciever? I really liked the one on my 336.

I got mine direct from the manufacturer (FP) huge improvement. I found the factory semi buckhorns useless.

Thought it'd be a bit bigger increase in performance myself.

I wanted a little bit more performance than the 30-30, along with a bit bigger bullet. The bullet options intrigued me, and the extra case capacity, so I went with a .35 Rem.

Yes, it has an 26" octagon barrel.

I had a Marlin 336C bought in 1973 . Had to sell it due to finances back then .
I regret it ! I would like to have another 30 30 I know it can take deer . Is it a decent cartridge for moose ?
As I was thinking of a lever rifle in either .357 or 44 Magnum.

I'd say so. Keep the range moderate, and it seems to do the job.
