The 30-30 club, are you in?

You're a man after my own heart, Husky!

Sure is a pretty rifle. Can't quite make it out, but is that an octagonal barrel?

7/8, or 3/4 scale off a .40-50 cal Sharps?
Yes, it has an 26" octagon barrel.

At one time Chiappa made 43 falling block models of the Sharps , Little Sharps.

Now their down to 6.

Thought I'd better grab one before they're all discontinued.

What scope would you all recommend for a Marlin in 30-30 (Dark Series with pic rail). Will use it for hunting this season - I know it's heavy, but it's too beautiful not to use!

I had a Marlin 336C bought in 1973 . Had to sell it due to finances back then .
I regret it ! I would like to have another 30 30 I know it can take deer . Is it a decent cartridge for moose ?
As I was thinking of a lever rifle in either .357 or 44 Magnum.

I'd say so. Keep the range moderate, and it seems to do the job.
