The .308 debate. What would you get?

Well I think its relevant in hearing the facts here! Hey these rifles cost a whole lot of money buddy, and honestly it being NR is the only thing that it has going over the others. Its pretty damn important I think. I was completely unaware of that situation, I believed the rifle to be NR until someone pointed the facts, if it wasn't for that I would still be thinking it was NR and come time for me to buy a 308 then I could have made a crucial mistake and lost 1500$ deposit.
So no I think its pretty damn fack relevant, sorry. We're discussing semi 308, their cost, status, and accuracy.

Dpms g2 hands down.
I sold my much beloved lmt mws after buying and using the dpms g2 for a while...
Quality is great, not excellent as is the lmt and/or knights, but the g2 is lighter, more compact, as accurate, and flat out more useable as a carbine.

155 scenars in lapua brass, 40.9 grains of n135.
The hornady 110 grain 308 round is just for scale reference.

Only because your pro ATR Modern Hunter but people have the right to state the facts so people are informed and make good decisions wether you or ATR like it. That's the point of a forum to share this information not just allow the pro people to Shill.

You are correct . The people on this forum are here to share facts. Something you are VERY light on when it comes to my business. Also once the people on this forum realize that YOU have a currently hidden adgenda, many of your hateful posts and dis-information regarding MY company and gun will make more sense.
By the way, how is YOUR SEMI AUTO RIFLE project going? I have not seen much on it since you pulled the plug on posting updates after you decided not to post further info until your patents are in place.

I showed him my HK USC and he realized that everything else is garbage and bought one.

All Hail HK.........All Hail

Questar had some smoking deals on the LMT as part of their black Friday sale on the order of a $1200 discount. I wish I had the spare cash, 'cause I'd've been all over that. Nevertheless, if the AR was ever reclassified, an SR-25 would be my first purchase. :)

Well I'm going to wait for the dust to settle on the atr modern hunter, because frankly that's the one I'm leaning towards because of the NR status. Considering the specs are top notch the price is justifiable I believe.

I handled the two different spec ATRS Modern Hunter rifles at the Edmonton Gun Show today, and came away super impressed. The fit and finish looks superb and the way you can order them with any variety of custom parts and furniture to suit your wants and likes, just like ordering a new car from the factory is fantastic, and something no other gun dealer can offer. Being NR is a huge bonus as well. Rick told me today that the second builds will be in our hands in the summer. If anyone is curious, you should make the trip to go see them in person, they are addictive once you've handled them though!

I agree the customization aspect is really really great, ATR really nailed it there, they understand the market well.
The NR factor is important if it is to be a true "hunter"

Well regardless I have to save my money, when I'll be around 3000$ saved, I'll make a decision then, but Im leaning heavily towards the modern hunter. If the NR status remains i'll go with ATR, if it does not I'll go with an SR25.

Keep in mind there is still C-42 hanging around. The non restricted status is really only the first part of the puzzle. The second is the effect of C-42 on classifications. As it's been announced no one can claim it's speculation anymore. The devil with C-42 is really in the details. If this changes what it was intended to change then the non restricted status could be a moot point. In that case it's an entirely new ball game. Something to keep in mind when making a 3K or more decision.

For the question about mags. The SR25, LMT, DPMS G1, G2, Remington R-25, XR-M, and newest Armalite AR10B models all use the same mag. It's based off the original AR10 mag. It's the system you can get Pmags for and yes they can all use the 10 round XCR-M pistol mags.

The Armalite AR10A models or Just AR10 without the B in the designation use the M14 based mags. Noveske, and Aero systems were also based on the AR10. The majority use the SR25/DPMS system of mags. This mag system has lost out and while I actually do like it and like the way all my mags actually work in all my Armalite rifles (Can't say the same for the other system), I would recommend going with the AR10B system. If nothing else you want it for the 10 round mags.
