I had a real nice 94 in 375, never used it much, sold it when a thinning out entered my mind a while back. I do miss it, cause I liked it, but didn't really need it. I would buy another one, if one came along at the right time at the right price, but I would not set out looking for one. Prolly non of this helps you out, but yeah, I'd say go ahead and reload for and shoot your's. Good bush gun!

Wish I had kept one. It's the best thing going if you think the 30-30 is just too common to be cool (I don't) and the 45-70 is bit much for you....
I had some 375 brass but I also made brass from 30-30 by pushing it over a 35 cal expander, then a .375" ball bearing I soldered onto a 1/4" threaded rod and screwed into a die. Worked like a charm.

I had a mint Winchester 94 and got it for a great price as well, but as with many other gems I once owned, I traded it off.
They're very nice rifles in a "cool" caliber, but I really couldn't see myself using it for anything. Impulse buy, impulse sale............. one of many.
Buy yourself a Lee Factory Crimp die, a must have.

I've always wanted a Savage 99 in 375 (I have one in it's older almost twin, the 38-55, but it's an addiction, what can I say). Had a 94 for a while, I think it was a good gun, but the whole AE thing annoys me for some reason so it went. - dan

Most of the 375 were top ejects. If you actually had an AE, it was probably an unwise decision to sell it, they're more rare than hen's teeth.
I have a Ruger #3. Love the rifle and the caliber. I reload mild cast bullets for plinking and steeper loads for jacketed. Even the hottest loads won't hurt you like a 45/70 does and yet it is amply powerfull and far more interesting. I wish I had a Marlin or Savage 99 in this caliber.

A friend's parents used a Bigbore 94 in .375Win. on quite a number of moose and really liked it. I came across a good Model 94 .375Win. and just couldn't resist. I picked up dies, new Win brass, 220gr JSP's and some 255gr cast to try. I built some loads but haven't run them across the chrony yet. It's just as handy as any M94 I've had, but in a different and I like to think, more potent chambering.
Several years ago I purchased a 21" barreled stainless steel T/C Contender carbine in 375 Win from a nice guy in Newfoundland.
I played with the round/rifle for a while then sent the barrel to SSK Ind it is now rechambered in 375JDJ = gives me an increase of appr 200fps - 300fps with any bullet weight.
This is by far my favorite Contender carbine combo loaded with 260gr Accubonds it is still doing 1800fps @ 300 yards.
I will never sell it...
If I ever got my hands on a lever in 375 Win I know I would try and get it rechambered to 375JDJ as well.

had a Marlin M375 until about a year ago, sold it to a CGNer out here in AB. Fed her a steady diet of 220 Hornady FP's over AA1680. After very little load development, I was squeezing 1 1/8" groups out of it with boring regularity. Huge regrets for selling it but I know it went to a good home.
i had a little trouble crimping the bullets in the die but i think im ontop of it. once i get more sleeves for the press..
any one hunt with the calibre on a semi reg?
iv carried mine for weeks but never really managed to go too well.. i have a few photos il upload via laptop.
always such a pleasure to carry an fairly mild recoil considering the power it puts out.

Get yourself a Lee factory crimp die and your crimping problems will be over.
The fellow I bought my 375 Win Contender carbine from hunted moose in Newfoundland with it I do not remember his load I seem to remember he stated that he shot 3 moose with it.
I packed it for a few months but that was in between hunting seasons more of a mtn lion defense rifle while we were snow shoeing than anything else I then sent the barrel away.

I had one in a Ruger No. 3 for a couple of years or so. I put quite a few cast bullets through it (in fact I think there are still a couple of hundred cast bullets laying around the house now). It was quite accurate with a max load and 220 gr. Hornady jacketed bullets.
Problem was, the No. 3 had a curved butt plate and no recoil pad. The design of the butt plate prevented the installation of a good recoil pad without disfiguring the stock.
Eventually I figured I'd had my fun and traded it on something else that seemed necessary at the time. What ever it was its gone down the road now also.

My wife hunts with a '94 375win. Excellent go between calibre from 30-30/32 to 450marlin(or 45/70).
My wife's seems to like IMR 4198 best.
As stated, if you want something with more oomph than a 30-30 but suspect the recoil of the 45's might be overwelming it's a good choice and an excellent hunting round. Not an easy one to come across at a reasonable price though.

I've got a minty condition M1894 Big Bore; from the first year Winchester introduced it in the '94. It's a sweet, slick handling little rifle. I've not shot anything with it yet, but it's got to take a black bear some day!

I have a Sako 375 H&H Safari Grade. Sweet gun.

My 1980's built 94 Winchester will drive a 255 grain jacketed bullet to 1800 fps. [24" barrel]
This is a pretty potent package within 150 yards or so.
I shot my biggest Whitetail Buck with it 3 years back.
I have tried some penetration tests, and that big Barnes original 255 JSP is impressive!!
Quite accurate as well. I have some 3-shot groups that are flirting with 1 moa.
Have Williams FP in the rear and Firesight on the front.
Even these tired old eyes can work with them well.

Mine doesnt appear to be very accurate.. very possible its the shooter/rest etc.. i feel its fairly unaccurate due to the sights an the front bead coverin a big area..
Iv missed a few shots at deer but got lucky on the 2 it shot.. close as possible is the key.

Oh, your lands have to run the other direction.....
Seriously though, what are you feeding it? Wife's with 220hornady's over 4198 is very accurate. 3031, not so much. I find all the winny's we have are happiest around 1800fps.
