How many of us own a 45-70 chambered rifle? Doesn't matter what make, or model.

You can count me in as of today! I brought this Marlin 1895 home after the Milsurp Match @ EOSC.

Cheers
Jay

I carry this more than any other rifle I own. I got rid of the big loop went back to the factory one.

Lol I’m in and out of this club on a regular basis.... love the guns and round, keep convincing myself that my tactical shotgun is more versitial and a slug is the same.... however o keep coming back.

I wanted to join the club a couple years ago; even bought 45-70 Hornady dies. I wanted a high-wall single-shot but the price changed my mind. Still on the fence. :(

What took ye so long OP? ;) I've been a 45-70 user since the 70's and currently use a Pedersoli 86-71. Started with a Ruger No.3 (Ouch machine.) then went through
a couple of Marlins and a Siamese Mauser conversion along the way. The 45-70 is a great round fer target work & big game as well as fun plinking. It's still me favorite of the .45's.

A Marlin SS ported Guide gun, Marlin cb octagon and a Sharps 45-120 that can take the occasional 45-70 short too.

Had a Marlin 1895GS but ended up giving it to my Son. I was never too fond of the straight stock design. When pushing the hotter top end loads the modern Marlin is capable of handling, especially with the heavier bullets, found it a little hard on the fingers. I replaced it with a Marlin GBL ;) and a Magnum Research BFR.
;) I'm in :d .

I currently have a 1895 G , I'm not fond of the straight grip with heavier loads either . That being said , it is a very handy rifle so I can live with it . I may pick up another 1895 standard model , I've had a couple over the years , great rifles .
