I haven't seen any discussion here, but Marstar is now carrying 30/5 steel AR-15 7.62x39 magazines, which means those of us with 7.62x39 AR-15 or XCR rifles will now have a look cool factor mall ninja option for magazines.

I ordered a batch yesterday, and will post a review as soon as I get them and get them out to the range.

Add to this the fact that Wolverine is importing a batch of 10 round 7.62x39 XCR pistol magazines and the mag situation is much improved!

Nice. I hope they work well for you. I have been contemplating getting an XCR in 7.62 X 39 but am try to hold out for the XCR M. If these mags work well I dont know if I can wait anymore.

Just remember that 6.8 SPC is also available in 10 round pistol magazines and that they feeds much better than 7.62x39 magazines in a AR type magazine well.

I'm also waiting for the XCR-M but already have an XCR-L in 223 and might buy a 6.8 SPC conversion kit.

I got my 7.62x39 XCR hoping the mags would become available sooner or later. I actually contemplated selling her after waiting and waiting. Hopefully the mags aren't a let down, but I gather that most of the problems happen when the mags are loaded to higher capacity, so we'll probably never see the issues if they are there anyways.

In either case, I have faith in John and Marstar to bring in quality products, plus they have an awesome guarantee so you can't go wrong really.
