The 7.62X39 must have rifles

Range is closed today....FML, and to top it off im working this weekend... On the bright side, My sling from Liberty tree collector showed up today for my Rasheed :)

and like everything else in my life the sling showed up with a rip right under the metal buckle, So I email Liberty tree collector with a picture and they are shipping me a replacement sling free of charge.

I need better luck, does anyone have some to spare... lol...

I think you are doing very well for yourself! You have a great collection and you get to work overtime so that you can buy more ammo.

As far as I know these are the must have X39 rifles, So Far I got.

Vz52/57
SKS
SKS-D ( Should be here next week )
Rasheed ( Should be here next week )
Vz58

So do you guys know what I should get next in X39 ? Is there and obscure gun I don't have ? Yeah I know they are more SKS variants but I dont like SKS's so 2 suffice. and after shooting the Vz52/57 my SKS stays in the safe when I hit the range. lol...

Just looking for some ideas on what I should get next to add to my collection of X39 riffles.

if you want to go real hard to find try and buy(or pay a gunsmith to convert) a carcano converted to 7.62x39 there handy and light. i did the conversion myself, cut 400 thou off the chamber of a lee enfield barrel then re-threaded it to fit the carcano action and bam your ready to shoot.

Hmm, got mine from wolverine and it looks like the top one in your picture

I have owned 2 of the neat little AIA 7.62x39mm carbines, they shoot really well, have chrome lined bores and chambers, take AK mags, mount a scope easy and are very well made with beautiful but heavy teak stocks.

They are a must have if you like Enfields and want a handy, robust and accurate bolt action rifle that shoots any 7.62x39mm ammo. BTW, the bore is .308 diameter so you can use any .30 bullets to reload with but it also shoots ex-mil .310 ammo fine.

Here are pictures of one I sold -

Perhaps one of our aussie members might know better but I'm pretty sure the business is done.

There was production for the domestic market but even that has disappeared. I would love to be wrong as the guns are great pieces, especially if you're a fan of the enfield action.

How about a Zastava 'mini Mauser'? I don't know if they have any oblique military provenance other than being in 7.62X39 mm and are a Mauser action though.

In the video most recently posted, the fellow says that the three failures to feed (or eject) were par for the course with the SKS-D.
Is that the usual experience for everyone? Were any of the rifles demonstrated, full auto or was he just really fast with the trigger?
I have to say I was feeling envious of the full stripper clip feed into the SKS! Need a green sad face here.
