The 760/7600 Club

Showed up today. Not sure what I'm going to do with it yet. Don't really need another 35cal as well as a 375, but it would be a good rifle for deer season for a change.

Just checked the EE... guess you made your mind up....lol... Didn;t you have another 7600 in a compact model at one point? I remember drooling over it....

I may keep it yet. Just have to make up my mind on some other med bore guns that may go instead.

Yes, I did have a 35Whelen with 18.5" bbl. They do sell quick.

Anybody have one what kind of accuracy can i expect, any problems with them ? Do LAR mags work in them ?

usgi 5/30 and 10rd lar magazines all worked for me. Can't remember ever having a jam yet.(couple hundred rds through)
Trigger is heavy. but any trigger fix for an 870 will work on this rifle.
Accuracy, not sure yet. 60gr vmax reloads seems promising.
Factory ammo hasn't been very good looking for me.

I thought I posted this already, but apparently not?

Or you could sell it to me.

I just had my Weathermaster out for its first range session. Two rounds to zero the scope and then shot a 1" group that was 3" hight at 100 yds using an H4831 and 180gr Sierra Gameking load that I had for another rifle. Very promising right from the start, so I'm looking forward to my next time out with some loads specifically made for the rifle.

Keep twisting saskcop's arm Waterfowler --- it's worth it!

in France we had a lot of carbine in 35 whelen what about here. i spoke with the Gravel rep and they can do it if there is a request of course ....

all the best.

My wife's deer rifle is a 7600 chambered in .308. She absolutely loves it, now if only I could find a red dot for it she likes. This gun has beautiful wood to it. Can anyone tell me how to age these rifles? It looks exactly like my father-in-laws 760 but is a 7600. It has checkering and a fleur-de-lis pattern with a white line on the fore arm and stock.

I'm in, I have a 760 Gamemaster in .300 Savage, used to be my Dad's and between him and myself this rifle has taken many moose, whitetails and mulies, plus the occasional coyote. Love it and will hand it down to my son one of these days.

Thanks .......

3. Magazines designed or manufactured for both centrefire calibre semiautomatic rifles and other (non-semiautomatic) rifles

Magazines designed to contain centrefire cartridges and designed or manufactured for use in a semiautomatic rifle are limited to five cartridges. However, magazines designed to contain centrefire cartridges and designed or manufactured for use in a rifle other than a semiautomatic or automatic rifle, do not have a regulated capacity. Magazines that are designed or manufactured for use in both semiautomatic rifles and other (non-semiautomatic) rifles are subject to the semiautomatic rifle limit of five cartridges.

Example:
Remington model 7615 pump action rifle chambered for 223 Remington caliber:

the 10 round magazine is prohibited
the five round magazine is unregulated
